Uh, a cross between cold wave and punk kawaii urban mod goth riot grrrl? Just kidding. I would say it's fairly eclectic, but I always try to combine all the elements of my favorite styles into one.
Lately though, I've been really inspired by feminist art and propaganda, artists such as Petra Collins, Jane Mai, and The Pulp Girls, musicians such as Alice Glass, Claire Boucher (Grimes), Karen O., and of course, my number one fashion icon, Chloe Sevigny. I would best define these people as members of my personal frontier of the feminist ideal. A girl needs to be proud of being who she is, and should embrace her femininity. At the same time, a girl needs to be tough and fend for herself.
So lately, I've been fascinated by looks that are what I would describe as a combination of masculine and feminine, but not androgynous- if that makes sense. I've also always been a huge fan of all things kitsch horror- and I should also mention that 60's are one of my favorite decades of all time- so I try to incorporate that element as well.
So in summary, I am in fact a cross between cold wave and punk kawaii urban mod goth riot grrrl.
